Prop firm rules
Daily loss, trailing drawdown, consistency, and overnight rules when you run Hextrade on a funded account.
Most prop firms care about rules, not whether the trade came from an algorithm. Hextrade will place what you enable. The firm will still breach you.
Rules that show up most often
| Rule | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| Daily loss | Stop trading (or fail) when today’s realized + unrealized hit a dollar cap. |
| Max / trailing drawdown | Equity cannot fall more than X from a high-water mark. |
| Consistency | One huge day cannot be most of the profit target. |
| News lockout | No open risk through CPI, FOMC, NFP, and similar. |
| Overnight / weekend | Flat before the cash close or before Friday halt. |
| Restricted products | Some firms ban CL, crypto, or mixing minis and micros. |
What to use on Hextrade
- Prefer algorithms tagged Prop Firm Ready on Algorithms.
- Avoid Overnight / Non-Prop families on funded accounts unless the firm allows holds.
- Size in micros and keep copy-trade multipliers at or below
1.0until you know the daily-loss math. - Watch the Calendar on news days.
Warning
A 2.0× copy-trade multiplier on a funded follower can violate daily-loss even when the master is fine. Tailor each follower.
